Data Analysis

Analyzing and processing data collected in order to create a comprehensive databases capable of producing thematic maps, nautical charts and related documents and publications.

Data Update

Updating databases through re-surveys, gathering information from other maritime authorities and disseminate data to interested user.

Symbol

The Edition of MAL 1 is based upon the 'Chart Specifications of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). The numbering in this edition uses letters prefixed "M" to indicate the initial of Malaysia.

MAL 1 contains the complete symbols and abbreviations used on International as well as national charts of the National Hydrographic Centre, Royal Malaysian Navy.
