image 3 Updating databases through re-surveys, gathering information from other maritime authorities and disseminate data to interested user.

Tide Table

ImageThe Malaysia Tide Tables (MTT) is an official nautical publication containing tabulated predictions for high and low  water for  each day of the year for over 71 standard ports in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sawarak, Brunei and Singapore. Its also  provide predictions of tidal streams of the Malacca Straits.

ImageAn ENC, or Electronic Navigational Chart, is an official vector electronic chart produced by National Hydrographic Centre (NHC) in accordance the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) S-57 Edition 3.1 format. It is authorised for use in International Maritime Organization (IMO) compliant Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) and can also be used in compatible Electronic Chart Systems (ECS).

Malaysian Chart Catalogue

Correction to this Publication

This catalogue is updated to 31 December 09. Subsequent amendments will be issued in
the Malaysian Notices to Mariners. Published charts are shown in black outline and charts
in the process of publications are shown in magenta outline. Diagrams of printed charts are
shown on the related pages.
 
Reporting Information

The reporting of information likely to be useful for the correction of charts or other
navigational publications are important contribution to the hydrographic service. In particular
detailed information concerning dangers to navigation should be reported to The
Hydrographer, National Hydrographic Centre, Bandar Armada Putra, Pulau Indah, 42009
PORT KLANG, Selangor, Malaysia. Hydrographic Notes forms should be used whenever
possible and copies of these can be obtained from the last page of Malaysian Notices to
Mariners.

Metric Chart

Malaysian charts are being published in metric. Depths and heights are shown in metres,
which conform to International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) specification.
 
Publishing, Reprint and Revision Dates

The date of publication is shown in the centre under the bottom border of the chart. Dates
of New Edition and Reprint are inserted to the right of the publication legend. Charts
corrections from Notices to Mariners are recorded at the bottom left-hand corner of the
chart with notation of the year and number of the notice. When a New Edition is issued,
the earlier edition of the chart is cancelled.
